Huawei<\/a> launched the Pura 70<\/a> series back in April before AI became the industry’s favorite buzzword. Now phones are catching up to the trend with the latest software updates. The Pura 70 Ultra<\/a> flagship got a firmware update that adds an AI Image Expansion feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huawei’s<\/a> flagship smartphone, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra<\/strong>, is receiving a significant upgrade with the rollout of its latest software update, introducing the highly anticipated AI Image Expansion<\/strong> feature. This update brings advanced image enhancement capabilities, further elevating the phone’s already powerful photography experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI Image Expansion adds more to an image, expanding its field of view. The feature can be found in the Gallery app when an image is selected. The Edit icon now has the AI Image Retouch option, and then it can Expand Image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The editing tool comes with HarmonyOS 4.2.0.176 and a July 2024 security patch and is 347 MB big. The update is hitting a limited number of phones in China, but we expect it to reach international units soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
