That&#8217;s probably still sitting there on the storage chip, perfectly fine. Hold these buttons for 10-15 seconds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Samsung phones<\/strong>: Power + Volume Down<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Google Pixel<\/strong>: Power button for 30 seconds straight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OnePlus<\/strong>: Power + Volume Up + Volume Down<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Xiaomi\/Redmi<\/strong>: Power + Volume Up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Motorola<\/strong>: Power + Volume Down for 10 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing? Gently dig around in your charging port. I&#8217;ve seen phones come back to life after pulling out a chunk of pocket lint that&#8217;s been compressed into a solid block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While you&#8217;re at it, try a different cable and charger. Use the original one if you still have it. Muscle memory is powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-adb-if-you-were-smart-earlier\">Using ADB (If You Were Smart Earlier)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Had USB debugging enabled before your phone died? You just won the lottery. Download Android Debug Bridge (ADB) from Google&#8217;s developer site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open Command Prompt or Terminal and type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>adb devices<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your phone shows up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>adb pull \/sdcard\/DCIM\/ C:\\PhoneBackup\\Photos\\\nadb pull \/sdcard\/Download\/ C:\\PhoneBackup\\Downloads\\\nadb pull \/sdcard\/WhatsApp\/ C:\\PhoneBackup\\WhatsApp\\<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This pulls everything to your computer. Takes a while for lots of photos, but it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-method-2-the-external-display-trick\">Method 2: The External Display Trick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your phone might be working fine with just a dead screen. Let&#8217;s use that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-usb-otg-mouse-method\">USB-OTG Mouse Method<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Get a USB-OTG adapter (about $5 on Amazon). Plug in a regular computer mouse. Check Samsung Cloud:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into samsung.com\/samsung-cloud<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your photos from the last 30 days might be there<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contacts, messages, and notes too<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also try Google Photos &#8211; Samsung Gallery often backs up there without telling you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-for-google-pixel-users-and-android-users-who-have-enabled-google-backup-with-gmail\">For Google Pixel Users (And Android Users Who Have Enabled Google Backup With Gmail)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything&#8217;s probably in Google One:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>photos.google.com for pictures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>contacts.google.com for contacts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>messages.google.com if you had chat features on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-for-oneplus-xiaomi-realme\">For OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These phones use their own cloud services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>OnePlus Clone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mi Cloud<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Realme Cloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Log into their websites with your account. You might find recent backups you forgot about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-water-damage-special-case\">The Water Damage Special Case<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Phone went swimming? If your data&#8217;s important, get it to a professional within 72 hours.
