Now YouTube&#8217;s joining in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">YouTube Recap is rolling out starting today in North America. That&#8217;s it. No hunting through settings or waiting for an email notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-you-actually-get\">What You Actually Get<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recap shows up to 12 cards covering your 2025 viewing habits. Your top channels, what topics you kept coming back to, how your watching patterns shifted throughout the year. There&#8217;s also a personality type thing based on your video preferences &#8211; YouTube&#8217;s attempt at the &#8220;what kind of listener are you&#8221; format that Spotify perfected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/mobilemall.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/YouTube-Recap-1024x683.webp\" alt=\"YouTube-Recap\" class=\"wp-image-23039\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve been using YouTube for music (and plenty of people have &#8211; it&#8217;s still the biggest music streaming platform by raw numbers), you&#8217;ll see top artists and songs mixed in. The <a href=\"https:\/\/music.youtube.com\/\">YouTube Music<\/a> app goes deeper with genre breakdowns, podcast stats, and international listening data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-spotify-effect\">The Spotify Effect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worth noting why this exists at all. Spotify Wrapped became a genuine cultural moment. Every December, social feeds flood with those colorful cards showing people&#8217;s listening habits. <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilemall.co\/blog\/uae-free-zones-for-tech-startups-your-2025-guide-to-the-middle-easts-silicon-valley\/\">Free marketing<\/a>, massive engagement, and users doing the promotion work themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">YouTube sat out that party for years. They know what you watched at 2 am when you couldn&#8217;t sleep. They know your rabbit holes.
