You couldn&#8217;t go below it. If you wanted to cut yourself off entirely, you were out of luck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That changed. A 0-minute option is now rolling out in the Shorts Feed limit timer, which effectively kills the feed completely. <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilemall.co\/blog\/impcat\/apple\/ios\/\">iOS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilemall.co\/blog\/impcat\/android\/\">Android<\/a> both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"660\" src=\"https:\/\/mobilemall.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/disable-youtube-shorts-1024x660.webp\" alt=\"disable-youtube-shorts\" class=\"wp-image-24392\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To find it: Settings \u2192 Time management \u2192 Shorts Feed limit timer. Set it to zero, and the Shorts tab becomes a dead end \u2014 tap it, and you get a &#8220;time limit reached&#8221; message instead of the feed loading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worth noting, this isn&#8217;t a new feature category, just a new option added to something that already existed. The time management tools were already there.
