The odd part? No release notes. Google published nothing about what changed since Beta 1, and the notes page even mislabels this as a July release. Testers digging through the build have found a couple of things anyway: the redesigned Settings app icon is now live for everyone, and the internal codename quietly changed from CinnamonBun to DEV. Beyond that, treat it as stability polish until someone finds more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For reference, Beta 1 two weeks ago did ship a proper changelog – fixes for silent Bluetooth re-pairing failures, media controls flashing on the lock screen, Pixels rebooting when Gemini was invoked, notifications vanishing from the shade until a restart, plus some developer-facing corrections around ML-DSA key generation and window-level blur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eligible devices, via the Android Beta Program OTA:<\/p>\n\n\n\n No Pixel 6 or 6 Pro here, and that’s permanent. Both phones age out of support before QPR2 goes stable, so their road ends with QPR1 in September.
