Since the iPhone <\/a>was introduced with Face ID, it was impossible to show battery percentages within the bar of status because the notch took up a lot of space. Users had to lower the control centre on the iPhone to see what percentage of the battery remained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In iOS 16, the battery percentage was added as a function, and when activated, it would display the percentage right over the battery icon on the Status Bar. The feature was available to all iPhones that have Face ID. I<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was unavailable on those with Face ID, such as the iPhone XR<\/a>, iPhone 11<\/a>, iPhone 12 mini<\/a>, and iPhone 13 mini<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the initial beta version of iOS 16 for developers, several users posted on the MacRumors<\/a><\/em> <\/a>forum that the feature for battery percentages will now let all iPhones equipped with FaceID notches display an amount over the icon for the battery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
