Samsung’s Olympic Edition Galaxy Z Flip7 Is Here

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, made specifically for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics running from February 4 through 22.

The tradition continues: Samsung will hand one to every competing athlete. That’s roughly 3,800 phones going to participants from about 90 countries. And if history is any guide, a solid chunk of these will show up on eBay within weeks. Most Olympic athletes aren’t switching from their iPhones for a commemorative foldable, no matter how nice it looks.

Samsung knows this, too, apparently. They’re including a 100GB 5G eSIM with each device – basically an acknowledgment that these phones might actually get used for something beyond sitting in a drawer.

The design leans heavily on symbolism. Blue back inspired by “Italian azure” and the “spirit of unity and sportsmanship” – Samsung’s press release does a lot of heavy lifting, connecting a color choice to Olympic values. The gold metal frame represents “athletes’ pursuit of excellence and podium moments.” The included clear case has a blue circular magnet surrounded by gold laurel leaves. Victory motif. You get it.

On the software side, there’s more than just special wallpapers. Athletes get a Galaxy Athlete Card for swapping profiles and doing interactive stuff, Athlete365 for performance support and mental health resources, plus competition info, the official Olympic Games app, IOC Hotline, and something called PinQuest.

Distribution starts January 30 across Olympic Villages in six cities.

For everyone else who wants a regular Z Flip7, pricing sits at $899.99 (€869) for the 256GB model and $1,019.99 (€979.99) for 512GB. Both come with 12GB RAM.
