Apple’s foldable iPhone just got a lot less mysterious. Tipster Instant Digital dropped a bunch of details on Weibo storage options, pricing, the works, and a separate report has filled in the RAM picture too.
The iPhone Fold is apparently coming in three storage tiers: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Chinese pricing from the leak puts the base 256GB model at CNY 15,999, the 512GB at CNY 17,999, and the 1TB at CNY 19,999.

Straight currency conversion on that base price lands around $2,330, which lines up with earlier leaks floating around. But Macworld pointed out something worth noting: Apple doesn’t just run numbers through an exchange rate calculator when setting regional prices. Their internal conversions have always worked a bit differently. Once you factor in the typical price gap between what the iPhone 17 Pro costs in the US versus China, the iPhone Fold’s US starting price shakes out closer to $1,999.
On the memory side, The Bell is reporting that Apple has ordered 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM from Samsung Electronics for the device. Samsung is handling the DRAM supply.
The whole thing is expected to show up in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
