Moto G (2026) finally goes on sale in the US and Canada

Motorola announced the Moto G (2026) back in early November. Couldn’t actually buy one though. Just a press release and some renders. That waiting period is over – the phone went up for sale through Motorola’s online store in both the US and Canada.

Pricing and colors

US pricing lands at $199.99. Two colors available: Pantone Slipstream and Pantone Cattleya Orchid. Canada pays CAD 299.99 but only gets Slipstream. Motorola didn’t say why the orchid version isn’t crossing the border. Probably not worth losing sleep over.

What’s inside

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 runs the show. 4GB RAM, 128GB storage. Screen measures 6.7 inches, LCD panel, 720×1604 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness tops out at 1,000 nits.

Cameras: 50MP main, 2MP macro, 32MP front. That macro lens won’t produce anything worth keeping – these 2MP sensors never do – but phone makers keep including them anyway. Battery is 5,200mAh. Charges at 30W over cable.

Two hundred bucks gets you a phone that makes calls, runs apps, takes acceptable photos in good light. Moto G phones have never tried to compete with flagships. They exist for people who need a working smartphone without the four-figure price tag. This one fits that description fine.
