RedMagic has put a date on the 12 Pro+. The launch event runs on October 15 at 2:30 PM China time, confirmed through the brand’s Weibo account with a teaser showing a covered phone and a circular element lit in red and blue.
The Bezels Are The Real Change
Most of what RedMagic has shown so far is about how the phone feels rather than what it runs. The black border around the display drops from 1.25mm on the 11 Pro+ to 0.96mm, which is a small number on paper and quite noticeable when you are holding the thing during a match. The body is lighter, thinner and narrower than last year’s, with more rounded corners and rounded shoulder triggers. The front camera stays under the screen.
There is also new cooling coming, though RedMagic has not said what it is yet. Given the 11 Pro was the first in the line to use water cooling, whatever replaces it is worth waiting to hear about.
It Gets Qualcomm’s Fastest Chip
The 12 Pro+ will be among the first phones running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Qualcomm puts the gains at 13% on CPU, 44% on GPU and 35% on AI work against the previous generation. RedMagic says it has done its own tuning on top of that for frame rates and visuals, which every gaming brand says, so treat it as a claim until somebody benchmarks one.
Nothing On Price Outside China Yet
The October event covers China only. No global date, no Western pricing. The 11 Pro started at $749 when it landed in November 2025, and the Extreme-tier chip in this one will push that higher. RedMagic usually brings these out globally four to six weeks after the China launch, so November or December is the realistic window.
