Sora App on Android

OpenAI put out their Sora app for iPhones last month, in October 2025. Now it’s out for Android phones too. Hit the Google Play Store and grab it if you’re in the right spots. Folks in the US, Canada, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam get access—checked the listings, that’s where it’s live as of November 5, 2025. No word on wider rollout yet, but that’s the start.

What Sora Does

This app turns words or pictures into videos. Type a prompt like “cat riding a bike in the city,” and it makes a short clip with sound. Uses OpenAI’s tech to build scenes that look real—people moving natural, backgrounds detailed. Not perfect, sometimes glitches like weird physics, but impressive for quick creates.

Extra Tools Inside

Collaboration means share projects with friends—edit together, add ideas remote. Pick styles like cartoon or realistic, changes the video look. Remix stuff: take someone else’s video, tweak it your way, add twists. Community side lets post your clips, browse others, like or comment. Feels like a social feed for AI vids.

No More Invites

Used to need a code to join. Now in those countries, download and jump in—no waitlist. Start making right off. OpenAI dropped that barrier recently, makes it easy for new users.
