Vivo released a Y19s in Pakistan last November 2024, but it only had 4G. They took a year to bring out this 2025 model with 5G, Dimensity 6300 chip, and Android 15 from the box. It showed up in India first, but should reach other places soon, like Pakistan in a short time. Time to forget the old 4G one. Here is what the new model has, explained one part at a time.
Design
They changed the old style—no hole for camera in front or ring light on back. Now a U notch on top for selfie, and normal flash by main camera. Build looks cheap, plastic all over, no high-end feel. Size is about 164mm high, 76mm wide, 8mm thick, weight 190 grams or so—holds easy in one hand, not heavy. Colors like black or blue, nothing special yet.
Screen
Screen is 6.74 inch IPS LCD—good for videos or scrolling without strain. 90Hz refresh makes swipes smooth, better than 60Hz on very cheap phones; refreshes 90 times a second. HD+ resolution 720 x 1600— not very sharp, pixels about 260 per inch, text soft up close. Brightness max 700 nits—okay inside or shade, but sun needs hand cover to see. Colors cover 70% NTSC, so not bright or true; reds greens fade vs better screens like AMOLED on costly ones.
Chip and Performance
Main chip MediaTek Dimensity 6300, on 6nm—small size saves power, runs okay. Up to 2.4 GHz on fast cores, 8 cores for balance. Gives 5G, so data quick when available—fast downloads, no lag streams. But budget chip, not top; does normal like web or social good, heavy games slow or hot.
RAM 6GB LPDDR4X—handles few apps without full stop. Storage 128GB eMMC 5.1—old type, slower load than UFS, wait a second for big apps. MicroSD slot adds up to 2TB, good for lots of files.
Battery
From 5500mAh in old 4G to 6000 here—lasts longer. Normal use calls texts web light video—day and half no problem. Light use to two days. 15W charge via USB-C—two hours from zero, no wireless or quick.
Software
Starts with Android 15, new in 2025, with Vivo Funtouch OS 15 on top. Adds things like themes, gestures, clone apps for two accounts. Updates for security a few years, but Vivo not always steady—look on their site.
Cameras and More
Back camera 13MP single—no wide or zoom. Good in day, details for shares, colors real. Video 1080p 30fps—okay clips, no 4K. Front 5MP—calls or pics fine, dark gets noise.
IP64 for dust splash—handles light rain, better than none on cheap, but no deep water.
Price and Where
Starts $123, about 35,000 PKR for 4GB 64GB base. 6/128 higher, but cheap for 5G. India first, global soon—check shops or Vivo Pakistan for when.
