Honor’s wide foldable was supposed to land before the end of this year. That’s changed. Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu now puts it in January 2027, which is a few months later than the last word on it and lines the phone up with the slot Honor used for the Magic 8 Pro Air.
The Accessory Range Says Honor Isn’t Testing The Water
The same leak mentions a “very rich” accessory ecosystem arriving with the phone. Worth paying attention to, because brands don’t build a case and keyboard range around something they plan to sell for one season. Honor seems to be positioning this as a proper flagship line rather than a one-off, and some reports go as far as suggesting the accessories blur the gap between a phone and a small workstation.
What Happened To The Vs Series
Honor hasn’t refreshed its second book-style line since the Magic Vs 3 in 2024, and the Magic V Flip 3 has reportedly been cancelled too. The wide foldable looks like the replacement for both. The format itself means a squarer inner screen, somewhere around 16:10 or 4:3, which is the shape Huawei went with on the Pura X and the one Apple’s foldable is expected to use.
The Specs Leaked Back In July
Nothing new on hardware since summer, so the July rumour still stands as the best guide:
- 7.6-inch main folding display, 5.5-inch cover screen
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6
- 200MP main camera plus a periscope telephoto
- Battery over 7,000mAh
January is far enough out that the date could move again, and Honor hasn’t confirmed anything. What’s useful here is that the window has gone from vague to specific, which usually means the phone is well into development rather than sitting on a roadmap somewhere.
