Samsung Galaxy S27 Is Coming to India

The Samsung Galaxy S27 has picked up another certification, and this one points to India. The phone, model number SM-S952B/DS, has been approved by India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which a phone has to get before it can go on sale there, and it’s the first S27 phone to show up on the BIS site.

Samsung Galaxy S27 has received BIS certification in India

The BIS listing doesn’t include any specs, but the same model number has already turned up in a few other databases, so we know quite a lot about the phone already.

It Charges at 25W, the Same as the Galaxy S26

When the phone appeared in the NBD database, the listing showed these specs:

  • The screen measures 6.3 inches.
  • It runs on Samsung’s own Exynos 2700 chipset.
  • That listing paired 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.

Its 3C certification in China showed 25W wired charging, and UL Solutions has since confirmed the same figure. That’s the speed the Galaxy S26 already has, so anyone who was hoping for faster charging this year is likely to be disappointed.

The Main Camera Is Rumored to Switch to a Sony Sensor

Earlier rumors say the Galaxy S27 will get a 50MP main camera with a Sony sensor, replacing the Samsung ISOCELL sensor used in the S26. The 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto cameras are expected to carry over unchanged, and the selfie camera is said to be 12MP. Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of the camera details yet, so they should be treated as leaks until the phone is launched.
