Xiaomi 18 Pro Global Launch Is Reportedly Happening This Time

Xiaomi burned its international fans last year. The Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max launched in China and stayed in China, never crossing the border while the rest of the world watched the reviews from a distance. This year the story is reportedly changing.

Xiaomi 18 Pro

A new report is claiming the Xiaomi 18 Pro will get a proper global release, reaching markets including Europe, Türkiye, Russia, Taiwan, and Japan. The India situation, though, is turning into a small soap opera. Just days ago a separate report was saying the 18 Pro would launch in India alongside the 18 Pro Max, and today’s rumor says the exact opposite, no 18 Pro for India at all. Today’s report also stays completely silent on the Pro Max, so where the bigger phone lands is anyone’s guess right now. Two reports, two contradictions, one week. Treat all of it as provisional until Xiaomi opens its mouth.

The hardware rumors are the part worth getting excited about anyway. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip and carry two 200MP SmartSens camera sensors, with the main one at a large 1/1.28-inch type size. The list continues with upgraded speakers, a bigger vibration motor, and a battery of at least 7,000 mAh supporting 100W charging both wired and wireless. Wireless at 100W is the quiet headline in that spec sheet, honestly.

If even half of this ships globally, the flagships from Samsung and Google are getting a genuinely uncomfortable neighbor.
