Huawei confirms January 3 launch for Enjoy 70X, its latest mid-range device. The teaser image shared by the company reveals a design inspired by the Mate series, particularly with its circular ring-like camera bump.
Ahead of the launch, a hands-on leak from China has given us a glimpse of the Enjoy 70X in real life, along with some key specs. The device, model number BRE-AL80, is powered by the Kirin 8000A SoC. This chipset features a hexa-core CPU with three Cortex-A77 cores clocked up to 2.19 GHz and three Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 1.4 GHz. The GPU is a Mali-G610 with a clock speed of up to 864 MHz.
The phone runs HarmonyOS 4.2 and will be available in at least two colors: white and cyan. It sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1224×2700, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for reduced eye strain.
The camera setup includes a 50 MP main shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor on the back. The Enjoy 70X is rumored to pack a 6,100 mAh battery with support for 40W fast wired charging. As for dimensions, it’s said to be 7.98 mm thick and weighs 189g.
This launch should be an interesting addition to Huawei’s lineup, especially for fans of the Mate series design language. I’m curious to see how it performs in the mid-range market segment.
