It looks like Google and Samsung are teaming up closely to enhance the AI experience on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Earlier today, some promo materials for the Galaxy S25 leaked, showcasing a variety of Samsung features, with Gemini taking the spotlight.
A fresh leak now reveals that Gemini will have extensions for Samsung Calendar, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Reminder. These extensions will allow Gemini to interact with these apps by creating, editing, or deleting calendar events, pulling information from images to set up events, listing events within a date range, and setting up repeating events. Additionally, it can create and summarize notes, find notes using descriptions or titles, and manage reminders by creating, editing, searching for, or deleting them. While these extensions won’t give Gemini full control over these apps, they do significantly enhance its functionality.
It’s intriguing to see Google take this approach since it already has its own alternatives to Samsung Calendar and Samsung Notes. Instead of redirecting users to its services, Google chose to collaborate with Samsung, giving Gemini a more prominent role on Samsung devices.
According to the leak source, these extensions aren’t the only ones coming for Samsung’s apps—there’s more on the way. It’s also likely that these features will roll out to older flagship Samsung devices with the One UI 7 update.
