Honor has confirmed that the Honor 300 and Honor 300 Pro will launch on December 2. This announcement came via Weibo, and both devices will debut with MagicOS 9. Interestingly, the Pro model is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which should give it some serious performance power.
Pre-orders are already open in China, with customers required to pay a deposit of CNY 999 (about $140/€130) to secure their spot. Honor has been teasing these devices for a while now, and the launch date isn’t exactly a surprise. The phones have been listed on the official website, where early registrants were promised more details on pricing and availability during the December 2 announcement.
What’s caught my attention, though, is the absence of any solid mention of an Honor 300 Ultra. Despite renders and leaks over the weekend suggesting a device with a periscope lens, Honor hasn’t confirmed its existence. Could it be launching later? For now, we’ll just have to wait and see.
As for the confirmed models, the colors are quite striking. I’m particularly liking the purple finish on the Honor 300 and the Sand Gold variant of the Honor 300 Pro. However, details about their international release remain unclear, and we’ll probably have to wait a bit longer for that information.
It’ll be interesting to see how Honor positions these devices and whether they can stand out in what’s becoming an increasingly competitive market.
