Apple has begun to release the iOS 17 Beta 2 release to developers as well as beta testers after its Beta 1 release from earlier this month. The new features include a new update screen, which includes more information regarding the beta version and a number of the features mentioned in Apple’s WWDC announcement.
There’s a new tap to AirDrop feature that lets users tap their devices to start transfer of files. On the page for Location settings in System Setting now includes a new MicroLocation option, which if turned on will provide more precise information about location for apps as well as location sharing. Message Check-In is available on the Messages app and includes the ability to send all or only limited data about location to your contacts once you have reached the destination.
StandBy mode now supports the option to turn off all notifications. Notifications classified as Critical will still be delivered. The Apple Music app now supports a toggle to control the crossfade length between songs between 1 and 12 seconds. The Apple Music widget now supports new size options.
