The first official teaser for the Nothing Phone (3) has dropped, and while it’s brief, it signals the beginning of the brand’s next major smartphone release. Fans have been anticipating this device for nearly two years, following the launch of the Nothing Phone (2) in 2023.
The teaser, shared on X (formerly Twitter), is minimal — just the number “3” — but it’s enough to confirm that the next generation is on its way. As is often the case with Nothing, this may be the start of a slow rollout of information, revealing small details over time.

Earlier this month, Nothing’s boss Carl Pei said they’re getting the Phone (3) ready, especially for the U.S. market in mind. Based on various reports, the device could launch in July, placing it firmly in the third quarter — a period when competition in the flagship smartphone space tends to ramp up.
There are no official specs or design details yet, but Pei did mention in a recent interview that the R&D team is working on a major user interface update. According to him, this could represent a “breakthrough innovation” in how users interact with the device. If true, this would mark a significant shift in the company’s software direction.

Rumors suggest that the Nothing Phone (3) might not be the only device launched. A possible Phone (3) Pro is also being speculated, following the precedent set by the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, which marked the brand’s expansion into a broader product lineup.
While no confirmed specs have surfaced, some features from previous models like premium AMOLED displays, high refresh rates, and refined camera systems are likely to carry over. The newer “Essential Space” feature introduced with the Phone (3a) Pro could also return, depending on how the UI overhaul unfolds.

For now, the only thing confirmed is that the next major announcement is on its way. With the teaser live, it’s expected that more updates — including hardware details, pricing, and launch events — will follow in the coming weeks.
