Oppo A6i 5G Identified on Google Play, Specs Reveal Entry-Level 5G Focus

An unbranded Oppo device previously spotted on China’s TENAA database under the model number PKW120 has now been officially identified. The same model has appeared on the Google Play Supported Devices list, confirmed as the Oppo A6i 5G.

The device is expected to launch in China soon, as the TENAA listing had already pointed toward a China-first release. The model number also aligns with the Oppo A5x 5G (PKW110), suggesting that this could be its direct successor. While Google Play offered no technical details, the TENAA listing revealed the full hardware profile of the new phone.

Oppo A6i 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, a budget 5G processor that fits well within Oppo’s entry-level device lineup. It will come equipped with a 6.67-inch LCD display, likely featuring a 720 x 1604 resolution. If this panel matches the one on the A5x 5G, it should offer a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also part of the setup.

For memory and storage, two variants are expected: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and a higher option of 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The combination should cover basic multitasking and typical storage needs.

Battery life appears to be another strong point. TENAA lists a 5860mAh rated capacity, which usually translates to a typical 6000mAh battery in retail terms. The front camera is listed as 8MP, while the rear features a 50MP main sensor, backed by a 2MP secondary camera for depth or macro support.

The build measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs around 194 grams. If Oppo follows the same standards as the previous A5x, there’s a possibility the A6i will also offer some level of IP65 water and dust resistance and possibly military-grade drop protection.

While more details are expected to surface closer to launch, the current information positions the Oppo A6i 5G as a practical, low-cost 5G smartphone for everyday users.
