OPPO A97 5G Featured By Phone Enthusiast Evan Blass

Recently, we saw an OPPO A97 featured as a phone on China Telecom website flaunting a Deep Sea Blue rear panel. The listing didn’t display the design in all its glory however it did reveal some of the major internals. Today, thanks to Evan Blass, the handset’s complete renders have circulated in other Cherry Blossom and Night Black with frosted surfaces.

The 5G model that replaces the OPPO A96 has a flat edge design that has an elegant and slim frame. The left rim on the A97 5G houses the SIM slot and volume rocker, while the right side keeps the power button-cum-fingerprint sensor. There’s an 3.5mm audio grid, speaker jack and a Type-C port on its lower side.

We have recently covered the OPPO A97 5G in detail, so here’s a short look over the spec sheet. According to the previous listings, the handset adorns a 48 MP primary lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. A 1080p 6.5″ IPS panel blankets the front adjusting the 8 MP selfie snapper in a waterdrop notch.

The battery cell has 5000 mAh of capacity and rapid charging. A97 5G could be available in 8GB/12GB RAM as well as 128GB and 256GB internal memory options with an in-built processor that is not yet confirmed. There are rumors that suggest the use of a MediaTek Dimensity SoC will power the handset.

China Telecom has associated the A97 5G with a price tag of 2,299 Yuan, which roughly translates to PKR 69,000 ($350). There’s no officially confirmed launch date from OPPO, but the handset could debut anytime soon, considering the evolving leaks on daily basis. the handset might also hit the Pakistani market after the global launch.
