Oppo hasn’t launched a new flip-style foldable since the Find N3 Flip, which came out in 2023. Since then, there’s been no movement on that front. Meanwhile, the book-style Find N5 has already made its debut.
Now, a new patent filing spotted in the WIPO database may give the first look at what could be the next flip model—possibly the Find N5 Flip. The design outlined in the filing shows a fresh approach for Oppo, diverging from previous flip models.
Even with the changes, the design still fits within Oppo’s Flip line. The cover screen sits to one side, and the cameras are positioned next to it. This time, there are three cameras—still uncommon for clamshell foldables, just like the Find N3 Flip had. However, their layout looks more like the Find N2 Flip. Instead of individual lenses, they’re grouped in a single camera island, which leans more toward Samsung’s recent style.

The outer display appears to be larger than the one on the N3 Flip. That aligns with the trend in the foldable market where larger cover screens are becoming the norm.
While the design looks interesting and could point to Oppo’s next move, it’s important to keep expectations in check. Patent filings don’t always lead to real products. Companies often explore multiple ideas on paper, many of which never go into production.
If more details emerge about the Find N5 Flip or its development status, updates will follow.
