The Realme GT 7 is now out in China, showing the brand’s newest step in the affordable high-end phone market. Following the release of the Realme GT 7 Pro, the GT 7 stands as one of the most powerful devices Realme has introduced in recent years. With a strong SoC, an impressive display, and a massive battery, the Realme GT 7 offers a lot of value for its price.

One of the standout features of the GT 7 is its display. The 6.78-inch flat OLED panel offers a 1.5k resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth navigation and responsive performance. The touch sampling rate is claimed to be 2600Hz, meaning the screen’s response will be nearly instant. The display’s brightness is also noteworthy, reaching 6500 nits at its peak and 1800 nits during normal usage. This makes the GT 7 one of the brightest displays available in its price bracket. Additionally, the OLED panel is color accurate with 100% DCI-P3 gamut and is designed to protect your eyes with a high-frequency 4608Hz PWM dimming.

While the high refresh rate display is impressive, it can be demanding on the battery. However, the Realme GT 7 addresses this with a massive 7200mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting power. The phone also supports 100W fast charging, capable of replenishing nearly 5% of the battery every minute. For users who prefer to use the phone while charging, the Bypass Charging feature prevents overheating by bypassing the battery. The device also includes a graphene and conductive glass fiber layer to dissipate excess heat, along with an industry-leading vapor cooling chamber to manage thermal performance.
Under the hood, the GT 7 is powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which is overclocked to a 3.7GHz frequency. This makes it the second fastest Android chipset in the world, behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The device is positioned as an ultimate gaming phone, capable of handling demanding tasks and gaming sessions with ease.

In terms of design, the Realme GT 7 is smaller and thinner than the Pro variant, with a profile of just 8.25mm. Despite its slim build, it houses a large 7200mAh battery. The phone carries an IP69 rating, ensuring protection against dust and water. Camera specifications are slightly toned down compared to the Pro, featuring a dual-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 16MP sensor, providing quality selfies and video calls.
Other notable features include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, WiFi 7 support, and an infrared port. The device runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6, offering an updated software experience.

The Realme GT 7 is competitively priced, with the 12GB + 256GB variant starting at 2,599 yuan (~USD 355 or ~PKR 100,000). The highest-end version, offering 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, is priced at 3,799 yuan (~USD 519 or ~PKR 146,000).
