It seems that Redmi is planning to launch a 5G version of the Redmi 14C, and it’s shaping up to be quite an upgrade. According to Geekbench, the Redmi 14C 5G almost doubles the performance of its 4G predecessor. The phone’s listing on Geekbench has given us some insights into its internals, and the numbers are impressive.
The Redmi 14C 4G, with its Helio G81, scored 418 in single-core and 1,390 in multi-core tests. In contrast, the Redmi 14C 5G, identified by the model number ‘2411DRN471,’ achieves 917 single-core and 2,181 multi-core points. This jump in performance is largely thanks to its Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The chip features two cores clocked at 2.21 GHz and six at 1.96 GHz, built on a 4nm fabrication process for excellent efficiency.
This same chipset suggests that the Redmi 14C 5G might just be a rebranded version of the Redmi 14R 5G sold in China. If that’s the case, we can expect the 14C 5G to come with a 6.68-inch HD+ display, up to 600 nits of brightness, and the same 13MP rear camera paired with a 5MP front-facing camera. It’s powered by a 5,160mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
While pricing in China might differ, the Redmi 14C 5G is expected to land in other regions with a price tag between $120 and $140. If all these details hold true, this could be an excellent budget-friendly option for anyone looking to step into the 5G world.
