Samsung’s been hinting at the Galaxy M36 5G for a bit now, and they finally said it’s launching in India on June 27, 2025, at 12 noon IST. This mid-range phone could be a decent pick for folks looking for something solid without breaking the bank.
You can grab it on Amazon India in three colors: Orange Haze, Velvet Black, and Serene Green. The screen’s a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top, so it should handle drops okay—they’re saying it can survive a 2-meter fall. The front camera’s a 13MP one tucked in a waterdrop notch, which feels a bit odd since the last model, the M35, had a punch-hole. Not sure why they went back to that, but it’s not a dealbreaker.

On the back, there’s a three-camera setup: a 50MP main with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. The main camera with OIS should take decent shots, even in dim light, but that 2MP macro feels like an afterthought—most people probably won’t use it much. The 13MP selfie camera can do 4K video too, which is pretty good for a phone in this range.
Inside, it’s got the Exynos 1380 chip with 6GB of RAM, according to a Geekbench test. It runs Android 15 with One UI 7, and Samsung’s promising six years of updates, which is a big plus. The battery’s a 6,000mAh one with 25W charging, so it should last a day easy. There’s also some AI stuff like Circle to Search and Gemini, which might make it handy for daily use. Storage starts at 128GB or 256GB, and you can add up to 1TB with a microSD card. The phone’s slim at 7.7mm, which is nice for its size.

Price should hover around Rs. 20,000, maybe a bit less, based on what the M35 went for. It’s up against tough competition from Realme and Xiaomi, and sticking with the same old Exynos 1380 might not wow everyone. Still, the screen, battery life, and long updates could make it a good deal. We’ll see how it holds up when it drops next week!
