The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is almost ready to launch, likely making its debut worldwide in January. From various leaks and reports, including a new one from Android Headlines, we have a good idea of what to expect. However, don’t look forward to major hardware upgrades this time around.
The S25 Ultra is set to feature a new design, confirmed by leaked renders and a recent magnetic case reveal. Internally, the series will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The S25 Ultra will receive a 50 MP ultrawide camera upgrade, joining the familiar 200 MP main sensor, 50 MP periscope telephoto, and 10 MP 3x zoom lenses. The selfie camera remains unchanged, but Samsung is expected to enhance overall camera performance through AI and software optimizations. A notable claim from a leaker suggests the 50 MP ultrawide will offer four times the image quality, with AI boosting color and brightness by up to 43%.
Lens switching should be smoother, and videos will benefit from reduced noise, thanks to the new AI Audio Eraser feature. The S25 Ultra will stick with 12 GB RAM for the European market, paired with a 5000mAh battery and 45W charging.
The S25+ retains the same hardware as its predecessor, except for the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It will sport a flat 6.7” AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, backed by a 4900mAh battery and 45W fast charging. The standard S25, on the other hand, will come with a 6.2” 1080p screen, a 4000mAh battery, and 25W charging support. One upgrade for the base S25 is the option for up to 12 GB of RAM. Neither the S25+ nor the standard S25 will see camera upgrades but expect cosmetic changes and AI improvements for better image quality. All three models are also thinner and lighter this time around. With the launch approaching, more details from Samsung should follow soon.
