Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Launches with Advanced AI Features

    From, United State

The Advanced AI Features was unveiled today at the latest Unpacked event, and my initial impressions are positive. While Samsung didn’t dwell too much on hardware upgrades, the changes to its design and the new One UI 7 software stood out.

A New Look for the Ultra
The first thing I noticed is the new design. The S25 Ultra now features rounded corners instead of the sharp ones we’re used to. This change allowed Samsung to fit a slightly bigger screen, but it’s a mixed bag. The rounded corners make the phone more comfortable to hold, but the sharper flat edges can feel less secure in hand, especially with the size of this device.

On the bright side, Samsung managed to make the phone thinner and lighter. Compared to last year’s S24 Ultra, which was 8.6mm thick and weighed 233g, the S25 Ultra is slimmer at 8.2mm and 218g. The materials are impressive too, with Gorilla Glass Armor 2 and a titanium frame making it both durable and premium.

    Bigger and Better Display
The display gets a small upgrade. The S25 Ultra now has a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, slightly larger than the 6.8-inch panel on the S24 Ultra. Samsung also improved its anti-reflective technology, maintaining its lead in display innovation.

All the familiar features are here: 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, Vision Booster, and Adaptive Color Tone. The screen also has an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and a 12MP front camera capable of 4K 60FPS recording. While the selfie camera is unchanged from last year, the rear cameras get some upgrades.

    Camera Upgrades
The S25 Ultra introduces a 50MP ultrawide camera, a big step up from the 12MP ultrawide lens on the S24 Ultra. This new lens has a 120-degree field of view and supports super steady video recording. The main camera remains a 200MP powerhouse, while the telephoto setup includes a 50MP 3x periscope lens and a 10MP 3x portrait lens.

Samsung also added an AI ProVisual engine, which promises better image processing, improved viewfinders, and advanced editing tools for both photos and videos.

    Performance and Features
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite (For Galaxy) processor. It’s slightly faster than the previous version, with speeds of up to 4.47GHz. The chip’s AI performance has been boosted by 40%, enabling the new Galaxy AI features to work more efficiently.

One of the highlights of One UI 7 is the “Now Brief” feature, which gives you a personalized snapshot of your day. It sits on the lock screen and provides updates on weather, events, and travel plans, adapting to your routine over time.

    Battery and Pricing
Samsung didn’t make any changes to the battery, sticking with the same 5000mAh capacity and 45W fast charging as the S24 Ultra. It’s a tried-and-tested combination, providing solid all-day battery life.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at $1299 for the 12/256GB variant. Pre-orders are already live in international markets, so it won’t be long before this flagship hits shelves.
