Tecno Camon 40 Pro now in Pakistan

The Camon 40 series by Tecno officially arrived in Pakistan earlier this month. The Pro variant was introduced first on April 5, followed by the standard Camon 40, which is now available in the local market. While both models share a similar design, the base Camon 40 scales back slightly in terms of durability and front camera features, though performance appears to remain the same.

Both devices maintain a slim 7.3mm profile. However, the Camon 40 features a flat AMOLED panel instead of a curved display. The screen measures 6.78 inches and offers a 1080p FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports Always-on Display and is protected by Panda King Glass. The phone is rated IP66 for basic water resistance and includes an under-display fingerprint scanner.

On the front, the Camon 40 is equipped with a 32MP selfie camera, but unlike the Pro model, it lacks eye autofocus. The rear setup features the same 50MP Sony LYT-700C main sensor found in the Pro. It supports Tecno’s AI Best-Moment capture and FlashSnap features, triggered by a dedicated red button on the side. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultrawide sensor.

The device runs on HiOS based on Android 15, with several AI tools included. These features are part of Tecno’s DeepSeek suite, which offers LiveLink calls, AI Translate, AI Writing, and the Ella ScreenSense assistant.

Under the hood, the Camon 40 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G100 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM. In Pakistan, the phone is available in a single 256GB storage variant. The battery capacity stands at 5,200mAh and is rated for up to 1,800 cycles—roughly five years of usage. Fast charging is supported at 45W, the same as the Pro model.

Audio is handled by dual speakers, though the base Camon 40 lacks support for 24-bit/192kHz Hi-res audio, a feature exclusive to the Pro variant. In the Pakistani market, the Tecno Camon 40 (8GB/256GB) is priced at Rs. 59,999.

For users looking for a balanced smartphone with strong display, battery, and camera specs at a mid-range price point, the Camon 40 presents itself as a practical option.
