MWC 2025 is just around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting event. Tecno has already teased something big, and it looks like they’re planning to showcase the Tecno Spark Slim concept. While it’s still a concept and not a commercial product, the details shared so far are intriguing.

The Slim Design
Tecno is calling this the industry’s slimmest phone with a 5.75mm thickness, all while packing a 5200mAh battery. To put that into perspective, the Vivo X5 Max from 2014 held the record at 5.1mm, but it didn’t have a battery this large. Tecno’s engineering here is impressive, though it’s unclear if this will ever hit the market. For now, it’s just a demo piece.
Camera and Build
Despite its slim profile, the Spark Slim has a noticeable camera bump along the top. The main camera is a 50MP sensor, which is pretty standard for flagship-level devices. There’s also a second camera on the back, but Tecno hasn’t revealed its specs yet.
Display
The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K (1224p) resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It can reach a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which is impressive for a device in this category.
Performance and Battery
Tecno hasn’t disclosed the exact chipset, but they’ve confirmed it’s an octa-core processor. Given the lack of advanced cooling, it’s likely an upper mid-range chip, possibly from the Dimensity 8000 series. The 5200mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, which is a step up from many competitors.

Final Thoughts
The Tecno Spark Slim concept is an interesting showcase of what’s possible in smartphone design. While it’s not yet a consumer product, it highlights Tecno’s ambition to push boundaries in the slim phone segment. If they can bring this to market, it could shake things up. For now, we’ll have to wait and see how it’s received at MWC 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
