Tecno Teases Pova Curve 5G – A New Direction for the Series

Tecno is hinting at its new Pova series phone. After releasing an earlier clip with a mysterious, unnamed phone, the company officially confirmed the device’s name through a new teaser — the Tecno Pova Curve 5G.

The design approach feels new for the Pova range. As the name suggests, the phone features a curved display and a curved rear, marking a first for the series. It’s slimmer than previous Pova models and carries a more polished look. The teaser only shows the side profile, along with the name subtly displayed in the background. An orange-accented power button is visible on the side, possibly to improve visibility. The metal frame and straight-line back cameras give it a fresh, new look.

While the teaser doesn’t share much beyond the aesthetics, older promotional material provides a bit more context. A previous video showed a glowing LED ring around the camera, keeping the RGB-lighting theme that has become a part of the Pova identity. Despite stepping into a more premium zone, the device keeps that familiar styling element intact.

Pova Curve 5G signals Tecno’s attempt to bring a higher-end experience to the Pova series. Among all previous models, this one stands out as the most refined yet. Official hardware specifications are still under wraps, but some storage options have surfaced. There will be a top-tier model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, another with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, and a more affordable version offering 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Based on this, it’s clear that Tecno still intends to keep the pricing in the budget segment.

This year’s Pova lineup seems broader than before. Alongside the Curve 5G, other expected models include Pova 7 (LJ6), Pova 7 5G (LJ7), Pova 7 Pro 5G (LJ8), and possibly the highest-end variant, Pova 7 Pro+ 5G (LJ9). The phones will suit different needs, from basic to almost premium.

As the brand gradually reveals more, it’ll be interesting to see how this shift impacts the perception of the Pova line. Any further updates will be tracked and shared as soon as they surface.
