Vivo has been launching new phone models in Pakistan to grow its portfolio. Recently, they added the Vivo V19 to their camera-centric V series. Starting at Rs. 59,999, the Vivo V19 packs a Snapdragon 712 SoC, which seems underpowered compared to other phones in the same price range. Let’s see if it makes up for this in different areas.
Vivo V19 Design
The Vivo V19 has a dual-camera hole-punch setup, with the front cameras in the upper right corner of the screen. The phone is tall, and you might need two hands to reach the top of the screen. The power and volume buttons are on the right side, and the SIM plate is on the left. The phone feels a bit thick, and the back is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which should handle daily use well. The camera module has four cameras, and the phone comes in two colours, Mystic Silver and Piano Black. We found the back panel a fingerprint magnet and recommend using the included clear case.
Display and Software
The Vivo V19 has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution. The screen looks fresh and gets bright enough even in sunlight. You can adjust the display colour mode and temperature. The phone runs Funtouch OS 10 on Android 10, with the latest security patch. We like that Vivo finally fixed the quick switch issue, making it easier to access shortcuts. There’s no app drawer, and all icons are on the home screen. You can customize the phone with swipe-based gesture navigation, and there are digital well-being and parental controls.
