Vivo X200 Ultra and X200s launching in two months.

Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch the X200 Ultra alongside the X200s in mid-April, according to a new rumor from China. If true, that would mark exactly six months since the X200 and X200 Pro debuted last October.

The X200s is expected to be nearly identical to the X200, with the only difference being the use of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ SoC instead of the standard Dimensity 9400. The 9400+ is likely an overclocked version, offering slightly better performance.

The X200 Ultra, on the other hand, is rumored to introduce a 1.5x zoom option in its camera app, corresponding to a 35mm equivalent focal range. While nubia has been implementing this feature for a while, a leak on Weibo suggests that vivo’s adoption of this zoom function could push other brands to follow suit.

We’re skeptical, though—when it comes to setting industry trends, Apple remains the biggest influencer globally. That said, vivo does seem to have some pull among Chinese brands. It may have already nudged Oppo and OnePlus into developing smaller flagships, similar to the vivo X200 Pro mini launched last year. Time will tell how much impact vivo’s approach has on the broader market.

Previous leaks indicate that the X200 Ultra will boast a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor, and a 200 MP

    Vivo X200s

Previous leaks indicate that the X200 Ultra will boast a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a 1/1.28″ sensor, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4″ sensor. The main sensor is smaller than the one used in the X100 Ultra, making this an interesting shift in strategy.

With launch rumors heating up, we won’t have to wait long to see what vivo brings to the table. We’ll keep an eye on the developments and update as more details emerge.
