Infinix launches Zero Flip, its first foldable phone.

Infinix has finally entered the foldable phone market with its first foldable device, the Zero Flip. I have to say, it’s exciting to see them try out the clamshell design for their debut foldable, and honestly, it reminds me a lot of the recently launched Tecno Phantom V Flip2. Infinix has always been known for providing solid smartphones at more affordable prices, and with this new foldable, they’re looking to compete with the big names in this category.

The Zero Flip comes with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED main screen with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,400 nits of peak brightness. That’s quite impressive, especially for a foldable at what I expect will be a more accessible price point. The external cover display is compact at 3.64 inches, but it’s functional—showing notifications and giving quick access to certain features. Plus, it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2, which should help with durability.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Those are solid specs for a device that’s aimed at offering a more budget-friendly foldable experience. It’s running XOS 14.5 on top of Android 14, and Infinix is promising two Android version updates and three years of security updates—so it should stay relevant for a decent amount of time.

The battery is another strong point. It’s rated at 4,720mAh and supports 70W fast charging, which is great for users who need quick power-ups throughout the day. As for the foldable hinge, Infinix says it’s built to last, allowing repeated folding without compromising the phone’s sleek design.

Overall, I think the Infinix Zero Flip could be a game-changer for people looking to experience foldable technology without paying premium prices. While pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet, I expect this device to appeal to users wanting to explore cutting-edge tech without breaking the bank.
