Samsung’s Galaxy A56 has been making the rounds in leaks lately, which usually means it’s not too far from being officially unveiled. The Galaxy A55 launched back in March, so the timing for its successor feels just right.
A recent leak has provided us with a pretty clear idea of what to expect from the Galaxy A56. According to a tipster on X, the phone will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 SoC. It’s set to feature a 120 Hz AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, an aluminum frame, and a glass back. That combination points to a device that will likely offer both performance and a premium look and feel.
On the camera front, the A56 is said to pack a 50 MP main shooter on the back, joined by a 12 MP ultrawide and a 5 MP macro lens. A 12 MP front camera handles selfies. These numbers suggest Samsung is aiming for well-rounded performance across all its cameras.
The phone is rumored to come in two memory configurations: 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. Powering all of this is expected to be a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging, which is becoming the standard for Samsung’s mid-range lineup.
Interestingly, pricing might remain unchanged. In the UK, the Galaxy A56 is expected to launch at £439, the same as the Galaxy A55. If that’s true, it could mean no price hikes for other markets either—a rare relief in today’s tech world.
While nothing is confirmed until Samsung makes it official, these details give us a good sense of what’s in store for the A56. If these specs hold up, it seems like a solid upgrade while keeping the same price point, which could make it a strong contender in its category.
