I’ve been keeping an eye on the latest smartphone launches, and the Vivo V50 Lite 5G caught my attention this week. It just rolled out globally, and now signs are pointing to its arrival in Pakistan very soon. Vivo has already listed the phone on its local website, which usually means the launch isn’t far off—most likely within the next few weeks.
While there’s no official launch date or pricing yet, the product listing gives us a clear picture of what the phone offers. The V50 Lite 5G runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chip. It’s a 2.4GHz processor we’ve seen in a few entry-level phones recently. It’s not made for high-end performance, but it should handle everyday tasks and light gaming just fine.
One of the highlights is the display. Vivo has gone with a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel that reaches up to 1800 nits in brightness. It’s also SGS-certified for low blue light, which is good for eye comfort. The screen-to-body ratio is about 94.2%, and from the renders, the bezels look pretty slim. There’s a small punch-hole for the front camera, which keeps the front clean and minimal.
The design language Vivo uses here is what they call “Redefined Urban Aesthetics.” It’s a flat frame with a dual camera layout on the back, and instead of a standard flash, it features a ring-shaped LED. But the phone isn’t just about looks. It’s been built to survive everyday drops, with SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance and a Military-Grade certification. It’s also rated IP65 for dust and water protection.
What really stood out to me is the battery setup. Vivo managed to pack a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery into a slim 7.8mm frame. That’s impressive. It supports 90W fast charging and is rated to maintain good health for up to five years, which is something you don’t see every day in this range.
Despite being more affordable, the phone shares some AI features with other models in the V50 series. It includes tools like AI Erase 2 and AI Photo Enhance, which could be useful for editing photos right on the device.
We’re still waiting on the local price and launch date, but I’d say this phone is definitely one to watch if you’re looking for a 5G device on a budget. I’ll keep an eye out and share more once it officially hits the market here in Pakistan.
