GTA VI pre-orders On June 25

So we finally have a date for the date. Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders open June 25, Rockstar confirmed Thursday, and the studio used the same announcement to show off the official cover art. Launch is still November 19, which after all these delays feels almost suspicious to type out. If you want the alert the second pre-orders go live, wishlisting it on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store does that for you.

The cover’s the classic collage, Lucia and Jason out front, a speedboat and a helicopter and, naturally, an alligator wedged into the corner because this is Florida. Nice to look at, tells you nothing new, which is the point four months out.

The bit worth acting on actually got buried under the cover-art noise. If you own GTA V on PS4 or the digital Xbox One version, Rockstar’s now offering a free upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S edition, live as of Thursday. Go claim it before you forget.

Then there’s the price, which Rockstar is being cagey about. All we’ve got is Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick calling it “reasonable” and “fair,” which is the kind of thing executives say right before charging you eighty dollars. That’s roughly the analyst’s guess too: $70 to $80 for the standard edition. We’ll know for sure on the 25th, same day pre-orders open.
