The picture doing the rounds today didn’t come from vivo. A multi-brand phone shop in Shajapur, India put it on Instagram, and it’s a marketing poster rather than an official teaser. Retouched to death, too. Still, it’s the first look anyone has had at the front of the thing.

What does the poster actually show?
A curved display with a hole-punch selfie camera in the middle, and the tagline “Slay Every Edge” underneath. That’s it. No back panel, no camera island, nothing about colours. The curve is the only design detail you can trust, since the rest of the image has clearly been polished for the ad.
Is this a brand new phone?
Almost certainly not. It looks like the vivo S2 with a different badge on it. Both phones share the model number V2576 in the Google Play Console, and the S2 went on sale in India on August 6. Vivo does this regularly, one handset sold under different names depending on the market, so nothing shady is going on here.
So what’s inside?
Going by the S2: a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen at 1.5K resolution, 120Hz, up to 3,000 nits, and a 7,050mAh battery with 44W wired charging. A Dimensity 7360 Turbo does the work, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Cameras are a 50MP Sony IMX852 on the back and 32MP on the front, plus a 2MP sensor that exists mainly so the module looks symmetrical. The S2 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, and those should come along for the ride.
Certifications have already turned up in Malaysia and the EEC database, so this is close. Weeks, not months.
