Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70 in India, and if it looks familiar, that is because most of what is inside it came from last year’s Galaxy A17. It is the third F70 phone this year. The Galaxy F70e arrived in February at INR 12,499, and the Galaxy F70 Pro followed in August at INR 25,999, so the plain F70 sits between them as the middle model of the range.

Price And Sale Date
The Galaxy F70 costs INR 17,999 ($210) for 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and INR 22,999 ($242) for 6GB with 128GB. It is sold through Flipkart, with sales opening on October 20, and the colours on offer are black and violet.
The Display Got Downgraded Somewhere Between The Teaser And The Launch

The screen is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED at FHD+ with Gorilla Glass Victus on top. Flipkart’s teaser page had promised a 120Hz panel last week, but the launch listing now shows 90Hz, which is a step down from what was being advertised four days ago. A waterdrop notch holds the 13MP selfie camera, and that notch looks rather dated on a phone launched in late 2026.
Cameras, Chip And Battery

The rear cameras are a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. The Exynos 1330 runs it, the same chip the A17 used, and Samsung has been calling the phone the slimmest in its segment at 7.5mm. The other numbers worth knowing:
- 5,000mAh battery
- 25W charging
- IP54 dust and splash rating
No One Is Sure Which Android It Runs
Samsung India hasn’t said which Android version the phone ships with. The Flipkart page lists Android 15, which would be odd for a phone released this late in the year, while other reports have it on One UI 8.5 built on Android 16. Buyers would be wise to wait until Samsung confirms it, since the starting version decides how many years of updates the phone gets.
