Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 Released, Expected Soon In New Devices

Qualcomm has just announced its new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset, which is a top mid-range processor. There was no Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1, and the original Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 was only used in a few devices.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 promises big improvements in performance and energy efficiency. The main CPU core runs at 2.91GHz, and the overall CPU package is over 50% faster than the SD7 Gen 1. The graphics processing unit (GPU) is also twice as fast. The new chipset is expected to be more efficient, with a 13% improvement in various scenarios.

Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, but they haven’t released detailed specifications of the CPU and GPU. The good news is that devices using this new chipset will be available as early as this month.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 has some exciting features, including improved graphics rendering that saves power and resources. It also has volumetric rendering, which was first introduced in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform.

The camera capabilities have also been upgraded, with an 18-bit Triple ISP that takes better low-light photos by combining 30 images into one. It also supports 200MP sensors and HDR video capture with triple exposure from multiple cameras at once.

When it comes to AI, Qualcomm’s AI Engine provides twice the performance and 40% more battery savings per watt.
