A new rumor confirms Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera specs

    From, United State

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the 15 Ultra, and from everything we’ve seen so far, it looks like the company is putting a huge emphasis on its cameras. A new leak confirms the camera setup we’ve been hearing about for a while, making it pretty likely that these will be the final specs.

So, let’s break it down. The main 50MP shooter will feature Sony’s 1-inch Lytia LYT-900 sensor, promising great low-light performance and solid dynamic range. The 50MP ultrawide camera will use Samsung’s ISOCELL JN5, while the 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom will pack Sony’s IMX858 sensor. But the biggest highlight? A 200MP periscope camera with 4.3x optical zoom, using Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor, the same one seen in Vivo’s X100 Ultra and X200 Pro.

    Xiaomi 15 Ultra Camera Specs:

    • 50MP Primary (LYT-900, 1-inch sensor)
    • 50MP Ultra-Wide (Samsung JN5)
    • 50MP Telephoto (3X Optical Zoom, IMX858)
    • 200MP Periscope (4.3X Optical Zoom, HP9)

From a hardware perspective, this is as high-end as it gets. The 15 Ultra will likely have one of the best camera systems in any smartphone, at least on paper. But as always, camera performance is not just about hardware—software and image processing play a huge role too. It’ll be interesting to see how Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 optimizes image quality and whether it can compete with the likes of Samsung and Apple.

Beyond cameras, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is rumored to come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 6,000 mAh battery, 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. It will launch with Android 15 out of the box, customized with HyperOS 2.0. The expected launch date is February 26 in China, with a global release shortly after, possibly at MWC Barcelona.

This phone is shaping up to be a serious contender in 2025. If Xiaomi nails the software and processing, this could be one of the most powerful camera-focused smartphones yet. I can’t wait to see how it performs in real-world use.
