Elon Musk Planning To Allow Blue Tick For $20 & Bring Back Vine – Twitter

Elon Musk is now entirely in charge of Twitter and making significant company changes. In his first week as CEO, Musk disbanded the company’s board of directors, transferring the board’s power to himself. He dismissed four top executives, including former CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, policy director Vijaya Gadde, and general counsel Sean Edgett. The fourth executive was removed from Twitter’s office based on anonymous reports.

Alongside the new leadership, the company will undergo significant business adjustments. Musk wants to bring back Vine, Twitter’s looping videos application, which was shut down in 2016. Musk himself conducted an online survey asking users if they would like to see Vine returned. Out of the 5 million who voted, more than 70% said yes.

Musk has been reported to want Vine returning in 2022 by the time 2022 is over; however, a former Vine staffer who was in charge of the shutdown of Vine, Sara Beykpourtweeted that the “code is at least six years old. A portion of the code is older than 10.” She added that the company must start from scratch if Twitter wants to bring back Vine.

Modifications in APIs and security policy and other aspects can make patching old code more trouble than starting from scratch. Twitter engineers may use the latest video-related codes in Twitter to revive Vine.

A report published yesterday suggested Musk plans to include verification as an exclusive feature the Twitter’s Blue subscription program , and increase the cost of this subscription from $5 to $20 per month.

Musk is reported to be so determined that he’s set employees until November 7th to make changes, or face being fired.

Current verified members will get 90 days to sign up to Twitter Blue or lose their blue checkmark. There are approximately 428 thousand verified members among the Twitter Blue account, which has 206 million daily active users. Twitter. There have been some who have already expressed their displeasure at the news reports, saying they will not pay.

Twitter Blue includes support for customizing Twitter and the ability to share top articles Undo Tweets and most recently, the capability to modify tweets.
