The iQOO Z11 launches in India on August 20. iQOO confirmed the date on X, after its India CEO Nipun Marya spent a week teasing it.
Simple news, except for one thing. This isn’t the Z11 that China got in March, and it isn’t the one Malaysia got in May either. Same name, third phone. China’s version runs a Dimensity 8500 with a flat 165Hz screen and a 9,020mAh battery, Malaysia’s swapped in a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and now India gets a Dimensity 7500 Turbo, reportedly the first phone in the country with that chip. At some point the model name stops meaning anything, but here we are.
The design changed too. India’s Z11 wears a horizontal camera bar across the back, very Pixel, which iQOO is calling the Skyline Camera Module. Dual cameras plus LED flash inside it. The screen goes curved, a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED at 144Hz, and the colors are Aurora Green and Celestial Blue, named after the northern lights and the night sky respectively. Marketing gonna market.
Leaked specs for the rest: 50MP main camera with OIS, 32MP selfie, somewhere between 7,000 and 8,000mAh with 90W charging, IP68 and IP69 ratings, plastic frame, 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Pricing chatter puts it around Rs 35,000, roughly $400, which lands it in the upper mid-range against some very crowded competition. Two weeks until the real numbers.
