Mivi sells earbuds and speakers. Now it wants to sell you a phone, following Fire-Boltt, which made the same jump from wearables last month with the Boltt Ace 5G. The Mivi One 5G lands in September.
Only three things about this phone are officially confirmed
Mivi has confirmed a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, a September launch window, and Flipkart as the exclusive seller under its “Flipkart Unique” banner. The exact Snapdragon model hasn’t been named. Neither has the launch date. Everything past that is teaser images and guesswork.
The teasers show an olive green phone with a flat back
Flipkart’s promotional material shows a flat rear panel in olive green, rounded corners and a metallic-finish frame, plus a mention of “clean software.” That last phrase usually means something close to stock Android with minimal preloaded apps, which is a genuine selling point in the budget segment where bloatware is standard.
The September 26 date going around is not from Mivi
Plenty of sites are printing it as though it were fixed. Mivi has not announced a date, and the September 26 figure does not appear in any of the company’s own material or in Flipkart’s teasers. Treat it as a placeholder until Mivi says otherwise.
The under ₹15,000 price is a report of a report
Same problem here. The sub-₹15,000 figure traces back to an unattributed industry claim, not to Mivi, and the follow-on claim that it would be the only Snapdragon phone at that price in India is nobody’s verified finding. A ₹9,999 to ₹14,999 range is a reasonable guess for a first-time brand entering budget 5G. A guess is all it is.
Mivi builds in Telangana, which matters more than the spec sheet
The company has been scaling manufacturing at its Telangana facilities and reportedly designs its own printed circuit board assembly for this phone. For a brand no one has bought a handset from before, the questions that decide whether it’s worth buying are service centres, software update commitments and repair costs. None of which has been announced either.
Camera, battery, display and charging remain unknown. Mivi will drip those out before launch day.
