Today, OnePlus announced OxygenOS 13 along with the unveil of the OnePlus10T. OxygenOS 13 will introduce Android 13 and a new user interface later in the year. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first to feature the OS. Later, the 10T will join the 10T and the flagship line to the OnePlus 8. Nord CE 2 Lite will follow (no word yet on availability for the Nord 2 Lite and Nord N100 5G, Nord N200 5G and Nord N10 5G).
The new OxygenOS 13 design will be based upon water. It is called an Aqua orphic Design by OnePlus and creates fluid visuals with icons with rounded edges.
As the day progresses, the system’s colors will become darker. The display will be always on and integrate Bitmoji or Spotify.
OxygenOS 13 will look a lot more like ColorOS. One feature that was directly taken from Oppo Phone’s OS of choice is the Sidebar Toolbox – it’s a folder of apps that you quickly access from the edge of your screen.
OxygenOS 13 and Android 13 will offer a variety of new features such as spatial audio and Dolby atmos support, improvements in Nearby Share and App Streaming. Private Safe 2.0 is a secure place that you can keep private files and documents, which are not accessible by apps.
OnePlus has not given a timeframe for the release of OxygenOS 13, but says the OnePlus 10 Pro will get the beta “soon”.
