The Redmi K50 line-up was launched this week, and on the day of its release it was the first day of sales of the two. It was reported that the Xiaomi company sold 330,000 of Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro phones in just five minutes in accordance with Redmi’s Official Weibo website.
The amount includes four variants – the two phones with two memory options a piece. It is 10% better than the sales of the predecessor series – the Redmi K40, which was sold in three versions with even more RAM + Storage options.
Both phones come in the same body, even have the same weight, despite some major differences. The K50 Pro has a Dimensity 9000 chipset, a 108MP main camera and 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The K50 brings a more affordable price tag, and for that Xiaomi downgraded the chip to Dimensity 8100, the camera to 48MP, and the charging to “just” 67W. However the battery capacity increased to 5,500mAh.
The next sale of the series in China has been scheduled to take place Tuesday but we aren’t sure on when the sale will be able to leave the Chinese market.
