The Redmi Note 8 series by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is a popular smartphone series worldwide. According to Xiaomi’s Managing Director, Manu Kumar Jain, the company has sold an impressive 30 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series globally since its launch in August 2019. Notably, Xiaomi sold over a million units of the Redmi Note 8 series in Pakistan just a month after its launch in October 2019. The series includes the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones.
Manu Kumar Jain announced the company’s latest achievement on Twitter on Wednesday. He also announced the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro giveaways. In December, Xiaomi claimed it sold over 10 million units of the Redmi Note 8 series globally since its launch in August 2019. The company achieved this milestone a month faster than the Redmi Note 7 series, which took longer to reach the 10 million units sold mark after its initial launch.”
Similarly, the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones are also prevalent. Last year, Xiaomi said that the company was able to sell over a million units of the Redmi Note 8 series in just one month after launching the series in the country. Notably, Xiaomi stated in March that its Redmi brand had sold more than 110 million units of the Redmi Note series worldwide since its launch in 2014 till the end of 2019.
To review, the Redmi Note 8 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and four rear cameras. The phone’s 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is currently priced at Rs. 30,999. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a MediaTek Helio G90T processor with up to 8GB RAM. The phone is equipped with improved quad rear cameras, and it is currently priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
