The A series of Samsung handsets is the Korean giant’s most popular. Fans loved the A series this year due to its premium design, 5G connectivity and timely updates. The A33 5G just received the July 2022 security patch to some Asian markets, which was a long-awaited update by users.
This update is available for Samsung Galaxy 5G phones in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Pakistani customers will also be able to download the update, which comes with firmware version A336EDXU2AVG2.
This July patch has been through many different models before arriving for the Galaxy A32 4G . Surprisingly, the 5G variant of the A32 has also received the security patch in some regions. Other A family members like the Galaxy A52 5G, A33 5G, and flagships like the S22 series(includes S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra), Note 10, Note 10 Lite, S10, and S10 lite have successfully received the July patch too.
Samsung’s A33 5G was launched while offering timely Android OS updates for 3 years and security patches up to 5 years. The update fixes the 50+ security vulnerabilities that were found on the previous A33 5G handsets.
This update has eliminated three critical and 25 high-priority threats. They mostly compromised the Samsung 5G mobile security features like Knox security, App lock and Contacts storage, Samsung Finder, and Knox security.
Apart from these crucial vulnerabilities, there were no moderate-level risks. However, this update also improves the Galaxy A33 5G’s overall stability and user interface. Before completing its Asian mission, the update will move towards other regions as well.
