Samsung is gearing up to unveil it’s Galaxy S22 lineup next week during the Unpacked launch event. The region of the event will determine Samsung’s Samsung Galaxy S22’s will run on Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and the Exynos 2200 chipsets. Both phones have already tested using the well-known benchmarking software Geekbench.
The two models that are compared are identical to Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s the SM-S908U which runs on the Exynos 2200 while the SM-S908B runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen1. Snapdragon 8 Gen1. Benchmark scores are similar between both chipsets. In the single-core test, both chipsets were equal. Snapdragon model scored 1168 on the single-core test, while the Exynos scored 1226. Meanwhile it scored 3562. Exynos model was scored at 3462 while the Qualcomm one scored 3508.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Exynos 2200 both run on an advanced 4nm process. while both chipsets have the same specifications in terms of structure (1 1 Cortex X2 plus 3 A710 + 4 Cortex A710 and 4 3 x Cortex A510) the chipsets could be different in terms of graphics because Geekbench mostly stress-testing the CPUs.
The Galaxy S22 lineup will inculude: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and S22 Ultra, series will be announced next week at the 9th of February’s Live stream event called Unpacked. Samsung is likely to also announce the new Galaxy Tab S8 lineup will inculude, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, Tab S8 Ultra.According to an earlier report that the availability of the brand new Galaxy S22 phones may not arrive until about one month after the announcement.
