The exact battery capacities of the iPhone 16 family have finally been revealed.

Apple doesn’t like to advertise exact battery capacities for its iPhones, and so we always have to rely on other sources to get those – regulatory agency certifications, teardowns, that sort of thing. The same has been true for the newly announced iPhone 16 family, but now we finally have the exact numbers courtesy of Brazilian regulator Anatel.

The exact battery capacities for the iPhone 16 series have been revealed through regulatory filings. Here are the specifics:

    iPhone 16: 3,561mAh (a 6.3% increase over the iPhone 15‘s battery)

iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674mAh (up by 6.6% from the previous generation)

iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582mAh (a 9.4% increase, the largest in the series)

    iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,685mAh (a 5.5% increase)

Thus, there’s one clear winner in terms of increase compared to last year’s models, and that’s the iPhone 16 Pro. But that doesn’t mean the other devices don’t have very good battery life – thanks to the A18 and A18 Pro chips used and thermal improvements in the internal design, both the iPhone 16 Pro and the Pro Max have significantly better longevity than their predecessors despite the minor (and different) increases in sheer battery capacity.

Additionally, all the iPhone 16 models support the faster 25W MagSafe charging, provided you buy one of Apple’s new MagSafe chargers to benefit from it. You’ll also need to connect that to a 30W power adapter. The new devices can also charge up to 45W over USB-C.
